Hey there! I began playing Day of Defeat around 2001 when I was 16 and kept playing off and on until even now. I tried playing some of the modern shooters, but always preferred the old-school ones (Medal Of Honor, old CoDs, etc). I'm laid back, reasonable and have a good sense of humor yet I'd also like to engage with other mature players who are out to have a good time BUT aren't constantly cursing, spewing nonsense and acting like kids. I promise I'm not an ageist though lol. For reference, in DoD, I prefer to play with a group of older and retired folks; we all have laughs, but we're also responsible and mature adults from all backgrounds who work together to take out the other team. I want to replicate this experience but with more communication and tactics, like Arma 3, but with a game ideally set in WW2. Enter HLL, which some of my DoD buddies also play. I'm a committed learner and believe fiercely in teamwork. I am willing to attend events whenever I can, but need to juggle this with work, family (wife and 2 boys), lifting, sports and social life. On weekdays and some weekends, I might be able to join for an hour or two here and there between 09:00 and 18:00 EST, but dedicated gaming time is most weekdays and some weekends after 21:30 EST when the wife and kids are asleep.
